"Season 6 will continue with Princess Diana’s story, with the first four episodes exploring the events surrounding her tragic death in 1997," Netflix said in a press release. "In the final six episodes, we’ll see Queen Elizabeth II (Staunton) reflect on her reign and look ahead to a time when her successors will take the throne."

The new season will cover major royal events from 1997-2005, including the wedding of King Charles III and Camilla, Diana's relationship with Dodi Fayed, the Queen's Golden Jubilee and the budding university romance between Prince William and Kate Middleton.
