Nyima Ward, son of '90s supermodel Trish Goff, dies at 27: 'Lived fiercely'
Nyima Ward, son of '90s supermodel Trish Goff, is dead at 27.
Ward, a model in his own right, died on May 29, with his family writing in an obituary that he "blew into this world … destined to live life his own way" and "lived fiercely, loved deeply and made memories." The cause of death is publicly unknown at this time.
"He was a boy of the world, traveling extensively, who grew into a man of the earth, falling in love with farming and animals and chasing his dreams from California to Florida," his obituary read.
Makeup artist Aaron de Mey shared the news of Ward's death in an Instagram post earlier this week, writing "rest in peace" to "my dearest Nyima," and adding, "I absolutely adore you…always an adventure, always fun, always sensitive, always kind. Sending deepest love to your Mom, Dad and your many friends and family."

During Ward's modeling career, he worked with a number of brands including Vivienne Tam, Thaddeus O'Neil and Anna Sui.
"With family spread all over the world – New York to New Zealand, London to Florida – Nyima didn’t get to see everyone every day. He got to see everyone for long, meaningful periods. And that suited him just fine. It was deep, present connections he craved," the obituary continued.
The obituary said it was common to find Ward "with a stray animal he'd saved on the side of the road" or calling Goff to ask about animal care tips.
"The only thing in life that matched his height was his love of friends and family, never missing an opportunity to tell his people he loved them or ensuring he had stayed in touch with his people," the obituary stated.
Goff is an infrequent poster on Instagram but several of her posts are dedicated to Ward, who she shares with Aaron Ward. In one Instagram post, she called her son "my warrior" and has posted a few throwback pictures. On his own feed, he shared several modeling posts ranging from runway to studio shoots during his time on the platform.
