Emily Cooper's raison d'etre may surprise you.
Lily Collins, who plays the titular role on Emily in Paris, shared who she believes is the one true love of her character's life in the Neftlix series—and it's not any of the men she's dated romantically.
"Mindy! Always," Lily exclusively told E! News at The Paley Center's Emily in Paris: The Magic Behind The Scenes event Sept. 17. "The hot roommate."
Noting that Mindy Chen—the aspiring singer and quick-witted best friend of Emily who's played by Ashley Park—is "the one with the voice, the one with the soul, the one with the heart," the Love, Rosie actress added that their friendship is "everything."
Still, Lily isn't focused on finding Emily's soulmate as the fourth season comes to a close and the cast looks ahead to its fifth installment, which Netflix confirmed was in the works earlier this month.
"We need more Italy," she said. "There's just too many bombs that were dropped at the end of the season." (For more from Lily, tune into E! News tonight, Sept. 18, at 11 p.m.)
In fact, the 35-year-old wouldn't mind if the storyline became all about Emily moving to several different countries.
"I think she needs to take a little side trip to Tokyo at some point," Lily explained. "That travel experience would be one for the books. There's a lot of locations that I would love Emily to go to."
Highlighting that Brazil would be another fun place for Emily to visit, she added, "Honestly, like, Emily around the world!"
This isn't the first time Lily and Ashley have gushed about the close sisterhood they've formed—on and off screen. Back in August, Ashley got candid about why she's "so f--king lucky" to have her costar by her side IRL.
"We both came into each other’s lives at a time when we needed that exact kind of friendship," she told Cosmopolitan in an interview published Aug. 6. "We came to each other at the exact right moment."
