Taylor Swift hasn’t really been scheming like a criminal IRL.

But if you ask Mariska Hargitay—a certified Swiftie in her own right—she still thinks the Grammy winner would make an excellent addition to Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

“We can certainly dream, can't we?” she told E! News of a possible Taylor cameo on the crime series, though she conceded, “She’s very busy. But I’m not letting it go.”

Yet while it sounds like the upcoming 26th installment of SVU won’t include any appearances from the “Mastermind” singer—who named her cat after Detective Olivia Benson—Mariska did give a small preview into what viewers can expect.

“We finished last season, season 25, with an episode called Duty to Hope,” she explained. “So we're really focusing on bringing hope into the season.” (For more with Mariska and the Law & Order cast, tune into E! News tonight, Oct. 2.)

Similarly, Tony Goldwyn hinted at a special crossover between the two Law & Order franchises.

“You'll see Nick Baxter and Olivia Benson together,” the Scandal alum added. “And you're going to see I think the thing that people love about Law and Order, which is a focus on these incredible cases.”

Incredible cases brought to light with the help of series newcomer Maura Tierney, who will step into the role of Captain Brady.

As Hugh Dancy noted of the new addition, “She's interesting. She kind of shifts things around the dynamic over there in the precinct.”

But after more than 20 seasons on the air, for both halves of the franchise, Law & Order’s impact can be felt far beyond the confines of its fictional precincts.

In fact, one of Mariska’s Olivia Benson costumes has just been added to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History in Washington D.C.

It’s an honor the 60-year-old could never have imagined in her wildest dreams.

“I found out and I was sort of blown away,” Mariska admitted. “And as I walked through the museum and I saw Dorothy's ruby red slippers and I saw Archie Bunker's chair and Captain America's shield. And you're seeing all these iconic items that mean so much to people.”

As she put it, “I was a bit overwhelmed.”

Scare Tactics, the classic comedy-horror series reimagined by Jordan Peele and Monkeypaw Productions, will premiere Oct. 4 at 10 p.m. on USA Network.

Also, Reenie opens up her new law firm and enlists Velma’s help in setting up shop.

The Voices for Justice Media founder Sarah Turney became a viral sensation when she posted suspicions on social media that her dad killed her sister, Alissa. Now Sarah gives unprecedented access to the continuation of her story, including a recently unearthed trove of home videos, as she re-examines her and Alissa’s childhood. Sarah makes chilling discoveries, breaking through years of manipulation to reconstruct the truth of the past and be free of her father’s influence. Season 22 of NCIS begins Oct. 14.

NCIS: Origins follows a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) in 1991, years prior to the events of NCIS, and is narrated by Mark Harmon. In the series, Gibbs starts his career as a newly minted special agent at the fledgling NCIS Camp Pendleton office where he forges his place on a gritty, ragtag team led by NCIS legend Mike Franks (Kyle Schmid).

Anatomy of Lies reveals the rise and fall of Grey’s Anatomy star writer Elisabeth Finch, whose jaw-dropping lies fooled Hollywood for years, and became fodder for many high-profile episodes of Grey’s. The story is told by some of her closest contacts, many speaking for the first time. 

American Horror Stories is a spin-off of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s award-winning hit anthology series American Horror Story. American Horror Stories is an anthology series that will feature a different horror story each episode.

Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? offers a fun, new twist on the premise of the original popular format. Hosted by Travis Kelce, each game will welcome an adult contestant who will rely on a classroom full of celebrities from comedy, screen and sports to help them answer 11 questions on a range of subjects, pulled from elementary curriculum, in an effort to win a $100,000 prize. Rather than compete against the stars, contestants enlist their help and, in some cases, can even “cheat” off of them. And on the final question, worth $100,000, the contestant selects one celebrity to discuss the answer with before locking in. The final question is always at the 6th-grade level. 

Season two of Shrinking follows a grieving therapist (played by Jason Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives…including his own.

Inspired by the personal experiences of Emmy-nominated creator Vijal Patel (black-ish, The Middle), The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh follows the Pradeep family and the events of their first few months after moving to America from India. As told through hilarious (and often conflicting) flashbacks from an interrogation room, the Pradeeps quickly find themselves embroiled—romantically, personally, and professionally—with a polar-opposite neighborhood family, leading to a predicament with many surprising twists.

Season two premieres Oct. 17.

Plus, CBS and Just Fix It Productions’ Creep LA are creating an interactive 60-minute show, Creep LA: Ghosts, to be held on select dates in October in two historic mansions in the West Adams area of Los Angeles, with tickets available for purchase at beginning Sept. 9.

George & Mandy's First Marriage, the sequel to Young Sheldon, follows Georgie (Montana Jordan) and Mandy (Emily Osment) as they raise their young family in Texas while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenting and marriage.
