Aguilar is Mexican music royalty.
Aside from her father Pepe, the 20-year-old singer is the granddaughter of Mexican icons Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre.
She released her debut solo album, "Primero Soy Mexicana," in March 2018 at age 14. The mariachi LP earned her a Grammy nomination for best regional Mexican album.
Aguilar followed up her breakout success with "Mexicana Enamorada" in 2021. The album spawned a pair of No. 1 hits on Billboard's Regional Mexican Airplay chart.
In 2022, the "princess of Mexican music" joined father Pepe, brother Leonardo and uncle Antonio Jr. for the Jaripeo Sin Fronteras tour.
Nodal is a música Mexicana heavyweight, known for his romantic songwriting and unique blend of mariachi and norteño.
Born to mariachi singer Silvia Nodal and record executive Jaime González in Sonora, Mexico, Nodal debuted with 2017’s "Me Dejé Llevar," which peaked at No. 2 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart.
Nodal's latest album, 2020's "Ayayay!", earned him a trio of No. 1 hits on Billboard's Regional Mexican Airplay chart, plus his first Grammy nomination for best regional Mexican album.
The 25-year-old has also made headlines for his high-profile romances with other Latin stars, including Belinda and Cazzu.
Long before they were a couple, Aguilar and Nodal hit the road together for the Aguilar family's 2018 Jaripeo Sin Fronteras tour.
In a 2021 interview with Billboard, Aguilar said her father Pepe invited Nodal to open the equestrian-themed show.
Nodal gushed about the cultural significance of touring with the Aguilars in a January 2018 interview on "El Gordo y La Flaca."
"More than anything, we are joining forces to raise the Mexican flag high," he said at the time.
Aguilar and Nodal reunited onstage at Premios Juventud in July 2019 to pay tribute to the greats of regional Mexican music.
Alongside Colombian singer Pipe Bueno, Aguilar and Nodal performed a soulful medley of songs by Vicente Fernández, Javier Solís and Aguilar's grandfather Antonio Aguilar.
Nodal and Aguilar solidified their musical chemistry with their first collaboration, a mariachi midtempo titled "Dime Cómo Quieres."
The song peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Regional Mexican airplay chart, and its music video has amassed over 800 million views to date.
"We have known each other for four or five years now, so it was a genuine experience: a friend asking a friend to record a song," Aguilar told Billboard in 2021. "He sent my father a song telling him that something was missing from his album and that he believed that something was me."
Nodal and Aguilar brought their collaboration "Dime Cómo Quieres" to life during a Mexico City stop on Nodal's Foraji2 Tour.
Taking the stage at Foro Sol, Nodal welcomed Aguilar onstage by extending his hand as she descended a small staircase.
The singers' affection for each other was on full display during the performance, with Nodal and Aguilar hugging twice onstage.

Prior to his relationship with Aguilar, Nodal had been dating Argentinian rapper and singer Cazzu since 2022. The couple revealed their breakup in emotional social media posts on May 23.
The split came eight months after Nodal and Cazzu welcomed a daughter in September 2023. "Our love and mutual respect remain strong, especially in our role as parents," Nodal wrote on Instagram at the time.
Amid the couple's breakup, Aguilar and Nodal sparked dating rumors on social media. The singers reportedly appeared together onstage at Nodal's concert just a few hours after Nodal announced his split from Cazzu.
A little over two weeks after Nodal announced his breakup with Cazzu, he and Aguilar confirmed their relationship in an exclusive with HOLA!.
"It is not a new relationship; it's the continuation of a story that life made us pause so we could grow and miss each other," the singers told the publication. "Because when we let go, we returned even closer."
Shortly after the bombshell announcement, Aguilar appeared as a special guest during Nodal's Mexico City concert. The couple delivered a flirty performance that saw Nodal and Aguilar sway together to the music and later share a kiss.
The day after their wedding, Nodal and Aguilar revealed their marriage to the world in a joint Instagram post, which featured a photo of the newlywed couple sharing a tender kiss.
Aguilar wore an embroidered white, long-sleeved dress, while Nodal donned an off-white suit with a black tie.
Aguilar's father Pepe shared more photos from his daughter's nuptials in an emotional Instagram post.
"Although there are fears for a decision so transcendental and in your case, so public," Pepe wrote. "Although there could be a logical fear of the unknown for a decision like this etc, etc. Anything is possible."
In her wedding speech, Aguilar raved about her bond with "prince charming" Nodal, according to Mexican talk show "Ventaneando."
Aguilar began the emotional speech telling Nodal that her "destiny was to love him," a nod to grandmother Silvestre's song "Mi Destino fue Quererte."
"I feel so proud of the man you are, of the man at my side," Aguilar said in Spanish. "I promise to listen to you, support you, respect you. I promise to be your accomplice, your partner."
She added: "I promise that, because I fell in love with your wings, I would never stop you from flying."
