Living a life in the public eye may not be a dream for Rob Kardashian.

Which is why the reality star stepped back from the spotlight in 2017, ceasing his appearances on his family’s fame-making series Keeping Up With the Kardashians. In the years since, Rob has made only a few cameos on their subsequent series The Kardashians—which stars his mom Kris Jenner and sisters Kourtney KardashianKim KardashianKhloe KardashianKendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner. And though his siblings love a good selfie, the 37-year-old rarely posts on the ‘gram.

But lately, fans have seen Rob’s daughter Dream Kardashian—whom he shares with one-time fiancée Blac Chyna—take a bigger step into the limelight. Not only did the 7-year-old make her runway debut at Zeus and Lexi Kids’ New York Fashion Week show Sept. 7—with Chyna noting on social media she’s “so proud of my baby girl”—but she also launched her own Instagram account the day before.

Or rather relaunched. Because as Rob explained about Dream’s account—which, to be clear, is run by her parents—it was first made in 2016 when she was born. And when the elementary schooler reintroduced herself to her already 670,000-plus followers, he couldn't help but gush—dropping a series of crying emojis and writing, “I love you.”

Not that Dream needed an introduction. Ever since her birth—which was filmed for her mom and dad’s 2016 show Rob & Chyna—fans have watched her grow up. She’s appeared on Keeping Up and The Kardashians and starred in an Amazon Glow ad with her grandma (or “lovey” as her 13 grandkids call her) Kris in 2022. And did you hear her song “Besties Do It Better” featured in Chyna’s June Instagram post?

“She’s learning different things about herself, and I think that this is just one of the things,” the model told Entertainment Tonight that month, clarifying the song isn’t available to stream“Dream has many talents. So, this isn’t just, ‘Oh, she wants to do music.’ She does everything, and she’s just so fun.’”

And Chyna suggested she wants to keep the focus on having fun—adding she’s in no rush for Dream to follow in her parents’ famous footsteps with a career in show business.

“I'm gonna let her do whatever she wants once she's of age,” she added to ET last September. “But if it's something that she's into, then I'll support it 100 percent. But the good, luxury part of that is I've been there, done that along with her aunties and her dad. So, she’ll be good if she decides to do that."

Though Chyna—a.k.a. Angela White—and Rob are protective of Dream’s privacy, they have occasionally offered glimpses into her world on their own Instagram feeds, sharing photos of her birthday parties, dance recitals, first days of school and time at home with family.

“I am so proud of the sweet and smart girl that you are!” the Arthur George sock line founder wrote in a 2020 post. “Thank You for bringing so much Happiness to my Life :) Daddy Loves You.”

Speaking of family, Dream also has a close bond with her Aunt Khloe—with the Good American mogul noting on a 2023 episode of The Kardashians she’s more like a “third parent.”

And while Khloe and Chyna have had their issues in the past—including Chyna filing a defamation lawsuit against Khloe, Kim, Kylie and Kris that the Kardashian-Jenner family won in 2022—KoKo made it clear she didn’t want her comment getting “twisted.”

“Rob is doing the best he can as a parent and in life. Angela is doing the best she can as a parent and in life. I am doing the best I can as a parent in life,” Khloe—who shares daughter True Thompson, 6, and son Tatum Thompson, 2, with ex Tristan Thompson—wrote on Instagram in July of that year. “We are ALL trying to do our best in life. Our children are healthy and happy! Most of all they are LOVED!! LOVED by everyone in our tribe.”

And though some may think “the narrative of 'The Kardashian’s VS Chyna' is more fun to read about,” she continued, “there really is nothing there anymore.”

“We all want to move on from the negativity,” Khloe continued. “The focus is on Dream and her happiness and making sure she feels unconditional love at her mommy’s house, her daddy’s house and any family members house for that matter. Please stop pinning us against one another. Life is hard enough.”

And Chyna agreed.

“Everything is good on both ends, we are all family at the end of the day,” the Lashed entrepreneur told TMZ around that time. “Robert and myself are co-parenting the best we can and it's all love and positivity.”

This positivity is something Chyna—who also shares son King Cairo Stevenson, 11, with ex Tyga—wants to maintain with the fathers of her children, too, after their ups and downs.

"We have structure. I think structure's key," she told Entertainment Tonight in January about the co-parenting relationship with her exes. As for her custody battle with Tyga over King Cairo, she noted the resulting 50-50 agreement has been working out.

“I fought my way through it," she shared. "It's done. I'm so excited. You have no idea. [It's working] splendid. I'm in a better place, my kids. Having a structure for me and stability for me is everything for me. Now everything else is going to trickle down because our foundation is strong."

And now, they're just continuing to build.

“I'm happy,” she summed up, “the kids are happy, but most importantly, it's about the kids."
