Move over Charlie Brown, one great butternut squash is taking Virginia by storm.

A 131.4-pound butternut squash was dubbed the world’s biggest at the giant veggie weigh-off at the State Fair of Virginia on Saturday.

The owner of the squash, Jason Loris, hails from Amissville.

“Wow, can you believe it?! A New World Record was set at the State Fair of Virginia today at the Giant Veggie Weigh-Off,” a Facebook post made by the State Fair of Virginia reads. A spokesperson with the fair shared with television station News13 that the squash was just as big as some of the giant pumpkins entered into the weigh-off.

There were a couple other winners too, most notably in the fruit and vegetable categories like watermelon, pumpkin, bushel gourd, long gourd and tomato.

Hank Houston of Spotsylvania and Paul Jarosh of Culpeper set state fair records for their long gourd and squash, respectively.
